PURE LIGHT THERAPY

Elegant Image has standardised on the Omnilux^TM Photodynamic Therapy (PDT) equipment and systems as they are all clinically proven and backed by a substantial volume of published peer reviewed medical trials.

We seen the benefits of PDT in 2002 and where one of the first Salons in Australia to implement the technology, Since then the uses of  PDT have exploded, nevertheless we will never make any claims that cannot be substantiated with independent clinical trials. There are many systems on the market now but we can find none that meet the standards and performance set and maintained by Omnilux^TM.

Omnilux history in brief.

In 1998 after 12 years extensive research and armed  with the rights to the patented Paterson Photodynamic Therapy lamp for worldwide distribution, Cancer Research UK  (the largest charity in the UK dedicated to Cancer Research) and the University of Manchester formed Phototherapeutics Ltd (PTL) with the mission of bringing effective, inexpensive and clinically proven cancer treatments to the healthcare market.

Further research revealed that PDT delivered on a matrix of narrow beam light emitting diodes (LED) could be used  for a much broader range of conditions and as these treatments area non-surgical, laser-free they  could effectively and safely be administered by skincare aesthetic practitioners and as such Omnilux^TM was created to service both the medical and skincare industries .

Omnilux^TM also pioneered the use of detachable treatment head to deliver pure, optimised narrowband light via LED matrices, the same  Omnilux^TM machines are now used in the treatment  of a wide range of dermatological conditions including, acne, photodamage, non-melanoma skin cancers, skin rejuvenation, vitiligo and wound healing..

Designed to stimulate the skin's own renewal process, the Omnilux^TM revive^TM Red Light treatment acts to rejuvenate and repair damaged skin and uneven skin tone, and improve the appearance of fine lines and wrinkles via the delivery of a precise wavelength of visible red light that penetrates deep into the skin to stimulate fibroblast activity to naturally boost the production of collagen (the protein responsible for plump, healthy skin).

Like Omnilux reviveTM, Omnilux^TM blue^TM is also designed to deliver pure light at a precise wavelength. The Blue Light therapy has proven to be an ally in the fight against acne and serious skin conditions. It stimulates anti-bacterial and anti-inflammatory activity in the deeper layers of the skin, working to stabilise sebum production and treat acne.

OmniluxTM is typically sold in 9 x 20-minute sessions or in conjunction with other treatments including peels and facials.
